msnbot/1.0 vs. msnbot/0.9

msnbot/1.0 seems better

I have noticed that being crawled by msnbot/1.0 seems to be a
lot better than being crawled by msnbot/0.9. I say this since
websites that are crawled by msnbot/1.0 are indexed and likely
to be found by searchers, while msnbot/0.9 crawled sites are hardly
indexed (if at all).

This means that sites predominately crawled by msnbot/1.0 are getting
significantly more traffic than sites that get predominately crawled by
msnbot/0.9. One question that I have for msndude is, how can I get msnbot/1.0
to crawl by website? I can sticky mail you the site url if you would like to
look into it. I have already written a message to msn support relating to
this issue but haven't received a reply.

I would also like to know if anyone else has noticed my observations mentioned
above. All replies are appreciated. Thanks.

This has not been my experience. I get spidered by 1.0 and get about 5% of my traffice from MSN. About the same as Ask.

The 1.0 version is our normal crawler. The 0.9 version is for Image Search, and will be changing its name soon to something a bit more informative.

Sorry if that created some confusion.
