Getting back in msn

Adult filter from a long time ago still there

Ok, story goes a long time ago I signed up with Inktomi and they were nice enough to classify my site as an adult site (even though it has zero adult content) - money well spent right?.

Of course way back then I would not show up in msn and then for a while I didn't show up in Yahoo either. I knew it was an adult filter for 2 reasons. First I used to go to the puresearch website and search for my site and it would only show up if I turned off the adult filter. Second, after some begging of yahoo, I finally got someone over there to look at my url in their database and they confirmed that it was an adult filter and removed the filter and then I was back in Yahoo.

Msn on the other hand I am still not a part of, and its really hurting my feelings (ok mostly my pocketbook, but my feelings a little bit).

So, everyone says that msn is using yahoo's search technology but obviously they maintain their own filter list since my site ranks great in Yahoo but not Msn.

Can anyone give me any hints on how I might get msn to remove the adult filter on my site?

Contact (http://search.msn.com/contactus.asp) them and ask if there is a adult filter on your web site and if so, ask them to remove it. But first make sure there is no adult content on your site. Have you tried the new MSN search engine? You don't need to worry to much about the old MSN for much longer.

jchance,

If it is just MSN then my advice is to just wait as the results will be changing soon enough so all previous red cards will be wiped clean.

See how you are doing in the Beta: [beta.search.msn.com...] [/URL]. Too late to start worrying about the yahoo listings in MSN now.

Hummm... don't seem to exist in the beta msn search at all. A search for mydomain.com yields zero results and a search for "mydomain" only lists sites that reference mine.

Any ideas?
