The newly expanded MSN Search team is working on indexing the entire internet and returning best-of-class results to search queries.

An ability to work closely with Microsoft Research

An overall knowledge of search engines is a plus and knowledge of query and intent recognition technologies

Also, if Najork is part of this project, which I am sure he is, I wonder if Breadth-first is in action with this newborn crawl by MSN. I guess it just depends on if or how far that went with Mercator and if any of it is exclusively tied to AltaVista.
