One of the possible MSN search interface is leaked out.

[cc.msnscache.com...]

[click on the Search Builder in the above link]

Cool Features include:

* A PC tab to search for contents on your desktop
* Sliders to adjust the weights for - Freshness, Relevancy and Popularity

Very nice integration with MSN Toolbar. Take a look, while it is online.

On the west coast here and it looks like access to it has been disabled.

Still works here in Australia.

Side note to any MSNdudes - if you don't make this cross browser compatible I'll be really angry (I might stomp my feet, wrinkle my brow and scream at a medium volume, mostly because you failed to surprise me).

really?

does it really matter - aren't people who consciously use a browser other than IE unlikely to use msn as their choice of search engine?
:: am being provocative but it remains a valid point.

(i'm sure they will though after the opera dispute)

It does work in Firefox, which is my default browser.

Note: Actual searches are not available in any browser, just the interface.

In this era of anti-freshness, I'll take what I can get.

Seriously, we have seen other search engines go back and forth between extremes -- from popular sites ranking for everything regardless of relevancy, to new sites barely ranking for their uncompetitive company name. This could be especially useful when the default algo swings too far in one direction.

jcoronella,

it slides off for me. What version you using?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041026 Firefox/1.0RC1
