Microsoft fended off a challenge to its $8.5 billion takeover of messaging service Skype when Europe's second-highest court ruled against claims by rival Cisco that the 2011 deal would harm competition.

In my experience a person-to-person Skype call doesn't compare to a dedicated hardware videoconferencing system call. The article doesn't go into the specific arguments that most influenced the case, but I'd believe that would have been one of the bigger ones.
