I am considering buying a X-Serve my affiliate programs. Currently I run run a *nix platform and am able to assign unique IP's to every web site on the box. Any problems doing this on a Mac?

Sorry for the late reply!

You can do virtual hosting using the same IP address for all/some sites or assign a unique IP to each site with Mac OS X Server. Definitely not a problem. :)

XSERVS look amazing! I currently administer 3 redhat webservers and look forward to my foray into OSX based webservers!

Good stuff. And yes not all sites require its own ip- virtual hosting environments are very common where ips are shared. And ips are distributed carewfully on a need by need basis (arin specifies such and colos and so forth follow it usually)
