It wouldn't work for every site but it would be a start... hmm... If only I knew how to write an app instead of just double-clicking them. :)
I just attended MacWorld in San Francisco last week and at a session with Doug Hanley of MacTek, he repeatedly admonished everyone to visit the Apple feedback page and make suggestions, insisting that they actually listen and incorporate requested features into the OS.
Worth a try.
erm ... still hoping ... but i have my doubts ...
Google Toolbar for Mac

With PR? No. Not unless Safari or Mozilla can/will send Google all your surfing data. It's a trade: PR for your data. Do you think Mozilla or Apple is going to write an API that allows any third party to grab all that data? As far as I know, invasion of privacy is an IE-only feature. :)

However I am inclined to agree with digitalpoint. Simply running the PageRank in the dock or in the menu bar somewhere. Production for something like this should be a days work for Google ha!
As pro Mac that I am… and it has been said again and again and again. The fact that we only claim a small percentage of the market is the simple reason why there is no PR for Mac. On the flipside we should be happy we don’t have this spyware (cough) on our OS. I have a PC in the office for that ha!
If there were going to be a Google ToolBar with PR for Mac, I would bet that the Mozilla version has the best shot. I don’t care if there is one… be kind of cool.
Desperate? As mentioned here before… Just buy that PC emulator (made by the evil empire) for Mac!
I have wondered if Google regret having the Page Rank indicator - it does help drive the interest in SEO and spammers claiming they can get you higher PR through iffy measures. Then again, they could always turn it off if they wanted. OK, everyone in SEO would be upset, but that's only a small number of people world-wide.

Bummer... Oh well ;) Thanks for saving me the trouble.
Psilver: Ditto!
I also personally think the PR is romanced much more than it needs to be…
