Big congrats to Justin and the crew.

In a move designed to significantly bolster its local online search marketing capabilities, R.H. Donnelley Corporation (NYSE: RHD) announced today that it has purchased LocalLaunch!, a Chicago-based company that specializes in providing Internet search products, platforms and fulfillment solutions to local advertising providers.

R.H. Donnelley's acquisition of LocalLaunch! adds approximately 40 Internet marketing professionals who are highly skilled in developing innovative search engine marketing and optimization products that help connect businesses with consumers who are searching for goods and services online.

Very smart, well timed move by RHD. Someone at RHD has their thinking cap on.

Smarter still if RHD structured (incentivized) the deal so as to hold onto that talent pool. The company IS the talented people.

Better late than never. Yellowbook was first with click forward, then Superpages with Inceptor. Now only SBC/bellsouth is left with no apparent partner- yet. I bet pretty soon, newspapers will be doing this as well.

I've read their site twice now, and still have no clue as to what they do. It might be the most poorly written description of what they offer, I've ever read.

Can some one break it down for me? It sounds like they take offline advertising agencies and provide them with tools to cross sell web space to their clients. Which if that's the case, then by all means, copy-paste-save right over the existing About Us section ;)
