Not sure, I believe it.... if anyone has any comments on what he is doing I would greatly appreciate your thoughts....

the owner of the company gave him 30 days to try this, against my recommendations...
it seems he only did this on the home page...
he did change the title of the home page and bold, italicized our company name on multiple pages.
anyone have any other comments?

Wathever the accuracy of those keywords, meta tags have very, very, very little to do on how well some site ranks on search engines.
Those metatag pushers ar known as 'metatage companies'. They abuse people with totally inneficient services. Stop waisting your time with those clowns.

Both of the above tags are invalid. The revisit tag is a myth carried over from the ole' days. There are no robots-terms index all, or follow all. The default behavior of the spider is to index and follow, the tag is not required. Once the term all appears in the tag, it overrides all other terms and effectively becomes all...

I doubt very seriously that GG will comment on this one. It is basically a no-brainer. Whoever did this is clueless. Many of us are having a fairly good chuckle over this I'm sure.

im still very new to SEO, so you have reenforced my opinions on this whole thing... I didnt think this was legit, but I had to ask =)

THese guys also know if they go to atlantic city - place $2 on black, and then if they lose, place $4, then $8...
Oh nevermind.
Anyway - as the esteemed members above have pointed out - this guy is useless. Unfortunately - so are most employees. One of my friend's runs a company that does high level research that is used by technology firms. They hire PhDs and people with masters degrees to do the research - and you wouldn't believe they crap they turn in.
One guy (a PhD) turned in a print out of the Google SERPs for the term he was supposed to do in depth research using various databases. This was pretty easily spotted by my friend who is a semi google expert. And none of the pages met the criteria anyway. He claimed he spent 4 hours doing the research (all he turned in was a cut and past of the top 50 google results for this device - with the words "cached" and "similar pages" in there too) - It took less than one minute - or maybe 2.

If he has 30 days to prove himself, don't worry. They will pass. Just make sure he doesn't 'prove' himself with engines and directories nobody has ever heard of.
And if it doesn't help, it doesn't hurt either. Keep on reading Webmasterworld and make sure you can otimize the site yourself after the experiment is over.
