It depends on how you define the terms "long tail keywords", "big keywords" and "benefits".

You can find short and long tail keywords with any keyword research tool. Yes, using long tail keywords have many benefits.
Because of the low competition, long-tail keywords are considerably easier to rank than short-tail keywords. According to Search Engine Land, long-tail keywords account for 70% of all web searches. Assume you're not focusing your strategy on them. If this is the case, you are missing out on a huge opportunity to deliver high-quality visitors to your website. Another benefit is people that search using long-tail keywords are more specific about what they desire. As a result, organizations generally notice higher conversion rates when they use long-tail keywords because the content is more tailored to the demands of the website visitor.

There is no such thing as a short-tail keyword. Long tail refers to the statistical distribution not the number of words in the "keyword". A long-tail keyword is a keyword that is rarely searched.

An example of a short "long-tail" keyword is: "minik"
An example of a long not "long-tail" keyword is: "Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra"
