One tool I like to use to get more keyword ideas is to feed content articles that are ranking well for basic keywords in my niche through the IBM Watson language demo:

Wow bakedjake that tool is F$#%ing cool. It really provides a view of how SE's will interpret your page's content. Powerful stuff.

I totally see how you can use that to extract keyword, but you can also use it to extract relationships and other concept that can be used to create content beyond keywords.

Urk. I think I'd better work on my prose style. They also think I'm negative about the two named humans in the sample text I fed them.

Caution: Their robot calls itself Firefox 3.6, is missing at least one key header, and crawls from 52 and 54, so feeding it an URL may be problematic.

I checked a couple of pages that are important to me and this tool (IBM Watson) thinks they're in Portuguese!

I have no idea why, but it would likely be valuable to figure that out!

Yes there are lots of tool or tactics to find keywords. But if you want to target google, i mean if you want to rank your site in SERP in google so you can take ideas from google keyword planner by selecting location.

You can take ideas that which keywords are searchable more or which are not. And after you can target those keywords for your site.

Have you guys tried the new keyword explorer by MOZ? The free version has limited capabilities but it still is an awesome and pretty helpful tool. Just google "moz keyword explorer" and check the first result - IMHO, it is the best "free" keyword tool along with the keyword planner
