Can judge the competition as per Google searches?

Two keywords: A, B, find the natural searches in Google:

A: most searches are: INNER pages of online shops sites(such as Amazon, Ebay, Walmart,etc.), and a few of inner pages of Youtube.

B: most searches are: Both HOME pages and INNER pages of company sites(quite a few are our competitors).

Question is: Which one is of higher competition, A or B?

Your example is not specific enough - but in general outranking an inner page is easier than beating a homepage.

Andy Langton,thanks a lot for your comment,however,please kindly note the inner page is from a famous site,e.g.Amazon,Alibaba,Walmart,etc.
