My site has been up for 6 years with limited traffic. After research I decided to update my keyword strategy. I was using the word "free" thinking at that time (6 years ago) I would get huge amounts of traffic. I took that out and added another word instead to the remaining 2 words. Here's the original post: [

I changed/reworded the title and changed my text throughout to reflect the new keywords. It's been nearly 4 months and my rank is the same, but the traffic is still half what it was. One year ago I had google: 48% and direct: 12.2%. Today I have google: 23.46% and direct is way low.
Will the traffic ever come back up, or was I too impulsive to make the changes? At the same time I added an .htaccess redirect of non-www to www. Could this contribute?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
