OK I got the advice that I should be targetting 2-3 KWs per page maximum. So I wrote an article that will target my chosen long tail keywrods.

However, looking at logs from one of my sites in same niche, I found a number of related KWs that I want to be targeting as well. There are like 30 more KWs that I want to target.

So my question is: is this possible at all? How do you target many KWs on one page? I guess it could be kind of dangerous to have that many KWs on one page....

But the thing is, creating more pages to target the rest of my KWs would be silly, as they are all inter-related with my KWs that I am already targeting. And those new pages would be talking about thte same stuff that I already created on my page where I am targeting 2-3 KWs.

and btw: can you rank for a KW if you build a link with anchor text for that KW, but you don't have that keyword on your target page? (but you have parts of that KW on the page)?

Any thoughts?

I would normally say build out a page for no more than 5 to 7 keywords.

It is hard to believe that all 30 keywords are inter-related much that you could not possibly segment them. However, I have seen this when pre-fixes of words. You could try to associate some of the modifications with products pages as well as the long tail, but first see if you can segment them anymore for their own page.

Also, yes you can rank a page just based on anchor text for that keyword. It is difficult, but can work. (not your best strategy, i would go with above.)
