Keyword density

What do you recommend on these engines?

Hi everyone,

I wonder if I might get some opinions as to keyword density on the following:

  • Google
  • Fast
  • Ink

It's something I'm a little vague on so hoped to get some informed opinions as to what to aim for...

Cheers

I have no data on this but will be watching this thread with expectation.
One additional factor that I would like to add is whether the regional S/Es use the same measuring stick for this vital parrameter.

I seem to do quite well with about an 8% overall density. Tight, focused pages with all the phrases in the right places. Ink seems to prefer a title with a keyword repeated. Putting the targeted phrase in the first sentence of the body text helps a bit.

Density in the right places is as important as overall keyword density. I don't repeat keywords in meta tags at all. In fact, it is rare for me to have more than 7 words in the keyword meta. Description metas are written for those engines that pull the description for the SERP so I want those to be enticing to people, not bots.
