Company name as the keyword

How much traffic does it bring you?

I would like to know how much traffic (relatively to other targeted keywords) does your company name bring?

The share of mine has been steadily growing (now is the 3rd most successful keyword) and I have a problem deciding if it's good or bad.

Alternative 1: Rejoice, your brand awareness is getting stronger...

Alternative 2: Damn, people who already know the company name should come directly, not through SE. SE should bring traffic related to product/services you offer...

I also have relatively large % of people searching for "mycompany.com". Is this normal, or it is just due to the low computer literacy of my sector?

This really depends on the industry your in, your markets, commonality of your business name, and ultimately well known you are.

Industry ... if your business name is directly related to the industry ... good show.

marketing ... if for example you target kids, a large majority type in their "keyword" and add .com after it ... excellent

Common name ... may bring in lots of traffic but quite possible that this is untargeted Example - domain is software.com but you only have email software then 95% of traffic will likely be looking for something else ... not so bad but really hard to guage.

Well known ... "microsoft" or "IBM" your probably not that globalized however, local traffic is excellently good as long as its not just you or other members involved in your business.

Try taking a look at your log files and see if any trends are apparent?
