Are words in your navigation counted towards your keyword density?

I'm currently preparing a site which is not yet live. The domain name is both my main keyword and phrase but each page also has my main keyword in its name and title and so does my text navigation links - Is this overkill for my main keyword as each page only averages a few hundred words of text.

Domain = build-a-widget
pages = widget types, widgets in wood, widget supplies etc.

Would this be better
domain = build-a-widget
pages = types, wood, supplies etc.
