Can you over use a single word in keywording when one word is repeated in pharses? exp: "bird" as a key word, and you list bird bath, bird feed, bird feathers--- etc. Of course bird comes up as a very high density.
Or should you just always use single words in keywordings?

Or Is this for the birds?

When using the keywords in the Meta Keywords tag it is best to repeat the target keyword no more than three times and try to have them seperated.

Within the page text, I think that it is somewhat a judgement call. You should not repeat keywords over and over, and the search engines will see bird, bird bath, bird feeder, etc., as keyword stuffing. Try to spread it out.

agreed with agerhart, you wanna spread them out in the content of the site. Build them into sentences rather than ,,,, comma seperate words that could be considered keyword stuffers.

Each engine likes their own formatting of the title, metas and such so research a few and see which ones may bennifit you the most. You can win with all engines unless you cloak. and i dont know if cloaking is the perfect solution. I like changing my content all the time, the tags and all.
