Hi,
I have a question about WordTracker that is confusing me a bit. My count for a particular keyword is 62 (over 60 days) which is an average of about 1 search a day) yet my predicted total traffic per day is 59 (which works out the same as the 60 day period). Which is the figure I take as number of searches for this keyword per day?
I've just started using this service and am not too impressed with their user-friendlyness but have heard good things about it so I'm willing to give it a go. Thanks again.
I would tend to think that the 62 searches over 60 days is the number that you should go with.
Wordtracker gave me the 2 numbers, the predicted number is in the column beside the count number.
They say predicted is "the maximum total predicted traffic for all of the major search engines/pay per bids and directories today". So I am confused as to how these numbers could be the same if the count is supposed to be over a 60 day period?
Not sure if I'm missing something obvious but it doesn't make much sense to me!
does anyone out there know how this works?
The best way to look at it is the current database size that is collected of 60 days, is approximately the same number of searches that takes place in a single day.
I am going to look into this more, but the one thing that I can come up with right now is that the "Count" is the number of times that the keyword has appeared in their database, which is definitely not a total of all searches for the keyword over all engines and directories.

We know that the Wordtracker keyword database size is 337 million entries over the last 60 days. We also know that there are approximately 319 million searches for all engines per day
