Embarrasing Keyword Question

Roughly a year ago we completed some web pages detailing one of our projects. We pushed the keyword "hccp" which, in our case was the acronym for "Healy Clean Coal Project." HCCP was the most common term used to identify this project, and most people who heard it knew what was being talked about. We got the keyword up to 2nd on Exite and I think 'bout 4th or 5th at Google.

In the past month or so, traffic to our site through Exite has skyrocketed (well, in a relative sense...), but the term is always associated with porn in some, usually illegal seeming (if'n you know what I mean...), way.

I've always made the results of web log analysis software available to a number of people here at work and now find myself in a position of having to explain this, and while most of us aren't too concerned, I don't think anyone of us are creative enough to figure out what that acronym might mean in the porn world. ;)

If anyone can enlighten me, preferably through StickyMail I'm guessing, I'd be very greatful.

Hmmmm.... Ah well, always a good mystery. :) It always seems to be in a three word search phrase, like "pornterm hccp pornterm" or "pornterm pornterm hccp".

If I go to the search engine and do the same search, they get whoppin' loads or results, but they never seem to have the term "hccp" in their descriptions, which is all I've been brave enough to look at, considering the terms searched for. :P

From the EPA website regarding Hexachlorocyclopentadiene (HCCP):

Hexachlorocyclopentadiene (HEX) is an oily, yellow-green organic liquid with a pungent odor. Its greatest use is as a raw material in manufacturing other chemicals, including pesticides, flame retardants, resins, dyes, pharmaceuticals, plastics, etc. HEX has no end uses of its own.

Possible use to create illegal drugs? *shrug* Obviously I don't have enough work to do if I'm spending my day hunting this stuff down. :)

About what hccp stands for. I am afraid you are not gonna like what you'll here.

HC stands for (probably)H*rd C*re and
CP stands for C*ild Por*o

HCCP has to to with pedo**ile kind of sites. Don't bother researching, it's gross. I suppose you are not that happy getting such hits.

Your answer is pretty much the conclusion we came to offlist. Definitely unpleasant stuff, but if they ended up at evinrude's site hoping to find such things, they were disappointed.
