I have few highly competing keywords like blue widgets, widgets, red widgets etc for my widgets site and site has been live for morethan an year now. I have made recent changes to the site and made the main keywords as
1. Widgets
2. Blue Widgets
3. Red Widgets
4. Etc.
which are not only in the homepage but used the same keywords with only the merchantname before them something like
amazon widgets, amazon red widgets, amazon blue widgets etc.
The site has got many merchants like that but I am still unsure about if these keywords would help my site climbing up in the search engines. As we know the se's take time to crawl n index, it was a good sign that my site actually got good number of indexed pages in the search engines after making some changes to the site. the real problem is that I have seen few dynamic sites already with this kind of keywords and are ranking well. How do search engines recognise the site then?
