My keyword rankings arent so great in google, but are excellent in MSN.. ranking between #2 and #5 for most of my keyword variations..But, i'm getting virtually NO MSN traffic!

Does nobody use MSN search, or did i just choose the wrong keywords?

My site is a "help for using widgets" type site for new owners of widgets.. focusing on specific help for only 2 or 3 different types of widgets - all for new owners or beginners in the world of widgets..

some of the keywords i've focused on are:
widget help for beginners
widgettype2 help for beginners
widgettype3 help for beginners
free widget help
how to use widgets (type 1, 2 and 3)
(and all variations)

should i focus on diffrent keywords? am i missing something? (help, please) or should i just wait for my Google SERPS to rise and forget about MSN?

Most people don't use MSN. However, I still use them and I get a lot of free traffic from them. You can always try AdWords with Google.

Not many people use MSN.

Also the traffic drop-off from first to second position is around 60%. So if there are very few searches on those keywords on a daily basis and you only rank on MSN at the second and fifth positions, then it is not unusual to not get any traffic.

what's funny is that i rank under 20 on google for those same words, and i'm getting more Google traffic than MSN traffic!

Google is the choosen one so to say, but i am really surprised on hearing this that you dont get any traffic as to say almost nothing comparing to what you are positioned.

so what are your plans for going foward on this issue, lets us know.

Depends on the # of searches being done for a given keyword. One of my sites ranks between position #4-#8 at MSN and it gets enough traffic just from MSN each day to make me several hundred dollars per month in Adsense income. Try to find and target keywords that get a ton of searches but don't have more than a few million competitors indexed in MSN.
