Suggestions regarding usage of keywords.

Could any one of you please tell me or suggest how to bring a high competitive keyword from third page to first page. I will appreciate if any one of you guide me regarding this.

Throw your anchor text with that keyword in 20 - 30 topic related websites.If your keyword is not highly competitive you will see results within a month.

Get the keyword in the url of two or three related sub-pages (level 2 or 3) that link to your main page; put keyword in the title; put it in the metatags; get links from keyword-specific pages; if appropriate, get webmasters to use the keyword in the anchor text.
