Using Overture to find best phrases for ogranic search

Hi All,

Designing a site with tons of content for folks to read in the healthcare arena. I want to provide great content, but I also sell products as well. So Mona was kind enough to share the Theme pyramid with me and now looking for the best set of Keyword phases that actually converts to sales. I see one and two word phases are extremely competitive, but was thinking maybe 3-4 word key phases may provide a smaller niche but, with better results. Can anyone share insights on length of phase or using the keywords tools to find the best phases for ROI organic or even pay per click. Or just in general what seems to get the best results.

Longer keyword phrases generally convert better. However, there are many 1-2 KW phrases that also convert as long as they are very specific. A good example would be a model name and number. The only way to really find out is through conversion tracking and testing. Conversion tracking is easy to set up in both YSM and AdWords. You can hire a programmer to set it up for natural results if you don't have the skills. Watch your logs daily, see what KW phrases people are really searching for.
