Using Wordtracker to choose the right keywords

KEI, 24Hhr search, number of competitive sites

I'm building my first site and I'm planning to build it on adsense and some affiliate program. I've used Wordtracker and I found a Niche that I would aim for.

I have planned to make a rich content site base on the main keyword, and I've used widget as an example below. Since "widget" is a high competitive keyword I would try to drive traffic to the site with less competitive keywords, but build the site with high content about widgets.

My questions:
1. How many 24Hrs search should there be? I've used data from google in the example above.
2. How accurate are the 24Hrs search? Every keyword below except "widget" gives approx 100 hits each day"
3. How many competing site are recommended as a maximum? 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000?
4. Is KEI above 10 enough?
5. What do you feel about SEO misspelling words?
5. Questions I should have asked?

I have seen examples of incredibly detailed (ie, strange) searches on other topics having a count in the 30s, and I can only conclude that someone out there is getting no results, so they keep entering the same strange search phrase, or they find a particular page, and keep returning to that page via that phrase in a search engine. Not something to build a page for, even if you plan on ultimately covering all there is to know about widgets.

SEO and mispelled words? Not a problem in my book unless you are trying to mislead or steal traffic. If lots of average users routinely mis-spell a word, why not include that on your page? I sometimes put a line at the bottom of a file that includes synonyms and alternative spellings and mis-spellings.
