Can anyone direct me to a site or publication which explains how to effectively use keywords?

Hello, kater - welcome to WebmasterWorld. You're already at the best site to learn how to use keywords: ) There's a ton of information here, more than you can ever get through. As far as a publication - do you mean print, online, or either?

Here are a couple that may help you get started:
Google Search Engine Optimization 101 My list [webmasterworld.com]
Search Engine Theme Pyramids [searchengineworld.com]

Thanks, Mona. I've poked around this site and did find some useful info. But, I'm a complete novice at this, so I need very basic information. A lot of the info I've found, to date, seems to have been exchanged between more experienced users and I've been a bit frustrated.

Print or electronic.... either would be fine.

Thanks again.

OK, if you're new, I'll assume you need to learn some basic HTML. Try these on for size and let me know if they help...

Beginning HTML [w3.org]
Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone [webmasterworld.com]
Newcomer's Guide [webmasterworld.com]

As far as print publications, I've never used any. You can find everything you need online and it's more up to date, IMO. Online publications - ClickZ and WebProNews are two that I read, you can find them in a search. I hope you enjoy the learning proccess, I know I did. (And still do: )

I'm assuming a keyword (or words) is one that is used on search engines to search for sites containing that word or words.

I built my site with Dreamweaver, so I've only picked up a bit of html on an as needed basis. What I'd really like to do now is try to get more traffic. There is not much text on my site, but there are a lot of images.

And perhaps I should ask this question on a different forum but, can anyone tell me what in the heck is Faxo? It shows up in my stats, indicating that there's a link from it to my site, but when I try to visit the link that's listed, it says I'm not allowed access.
