I'd like to hear opinions and experiences about this:

My keywords are related to a service or product in specific location.

So it's very important to put the city near the term like this: "cityname widget" the point is that my page is spanish where you write "widget cityname" because that's how people search for that and not "cityname widget" like english language does.

However and here's the question: my guessing is that is pretty much relevant for search engines the cityname than the other term (I think that a very used word like cars or hotels is considered less valued for the serach engine algo relevancy than location, I guess search engines gives a higher importance to the location term, the cityname, because is there more chances of provide a relevant result based on that than a common very used term)

So the natural way to anchor text links would be in spanish: "widget cityname", but I think puting links like "cityname widget" contributes to better performance in search enginge ranks.

May I be right?
