.PHP Pages

I have a client who has a web site with .PHP pages. Does anyone know if these pages will be indexed properly by the search engines or will there be problems? Thanks.

It really looks like PhP pages really suck.

Would anyone know if it is difficult to change PHP pages to html of htm pages?
