Importing an XML file

Into NN6 and IE5.5

Hi there, I've managed to track down how to import an XML file into IE5.5

In short:
var xml = new ActiveXObject("msxml");
xml.URL = "my.xml";

Is there a similar technique for loading a file into NN6? I've trawled through a lot of documentation, but can't seem to find anything :(
