Hello.
How do I add the rel=''no follow'' tag to an Amazon affiliate link like this? Where does it go?

Example of affiliate link amazon
https://www.amazon.it/s?k=NOMEPRODOTTOs%2C258&linkCode=ll2&tag=MYAFFILIATEID-21&linkId12345678910

Would it be okay if added at the end?
https://www.amazon.it/s=kOMEPRODOTTOs%2C258&linkCode=ll2&tag=MYAFFILIATEID-21&linkId12345678910/rel='nofollow'

I did a test with a real Amazon affiliate link and it seems to work
Thanks in advance for any clarification that will be provided. Best regards

Google may or may not respect your nofollow, they see it as a hint. The rel= to add to affiliate links is rel="sponsored" since a few years now.

It has been changing for some time. In 2016: Does Google ignore nofollow [webmasterworld.com]

In 2019: Google adds new options to NOFOLLOW [webmasterworld.com]

In 2020: Google considers "nofollow" as a hint as of 1 March, 2020 [webmasterworld.com]

Google has also said that affiliate links should use the sponsored attribute (rel="sponsored") to identify links on your site that were created as part of advertisements, sponsorships or other compensation agreements.

As for "where", rel="sponsored" is used as part of the anchor as in
<a href="actual link" rel="sponsored">
