Opera, great browser, but where are the plugins? Why do I have to get this gigantic solid square that doesn't take me to the plugin?

And flash? say it ain't so y'all sorry spent too much time in foo

ok that'll be today's rant, tomorrow it's NN and IE, the reason I went to Opera to start with.

Oh what the heck here's a little of that, look at your pages with a different browser and they all render it differently. If you write cgi code the browser differences will drive you crazy. Is it possible that these unchecked differences are affecting your rankings? not with Search engines but with visitors once they get to your site?

Opera plugins: v4 uses the plugins straight out of the netscape plugin directory. Most of them, you don't have to do anything special to use them. Flash is an exception but it is finally working in the internal builds.

I do agree you have to be really carefull with code. Netscape is the lowest common denominator. It is very rare to find something (never seen it) that will display in Netscape that won't display very similar in Opera. So, I try to use nn for any 'compat' checks.
