Microsoft IE9 Preview, Now With HTML5 Features [zdnet.com]
Microsoft has just passed an important milestone on the road to shipping Internet Explorer 9, releasing a third Platform Preview for download by the public today.

This preview adds the most eagerly awaited HTML5 features to the IE9 engine, including support for the Canvas element and both audio and video tags. Based on test results Iíve seen, there are also significant performance improvements and a big jump in IE9ís score on the controversial Acid3 test page (although it still falls short of a perfect score). Like its two predecessors, this release contains only the most rudimentary user interface, allowing Microsoft to keep the dialog with developers focused on performance, standards compliance, and support for new HTML5 features.

But does anyone know if ie9 is going to support any of css3 as it would be nice to do rounded corners through css in all browsers.

The GPU accelaration in ie9 is truely brilliant.

Tried the IE9 beta and loaded up one site i built in html5 and css3...and nothing...site just doesn't display properly.

I didn't do too much investigation into why though..this is just a beta afterall...

I don't know, when I visit the test drive link it says:

Wow! Youíre already running IE9! Thank you for testing our Internet Explorer Platform Preview test drive.

Although I get in with FF and an ancient o/s.
