Hi All,
I hope I am posting this in the correct part of the forum,
I hosted my website yesterday to get used to FTP and editing and so on, I decided then today to install Firefox and Google Chrome to see how the website viewed on those browsers, they were both fine.
After looking about for a while on the new browsers I noticed that the links on the footer of my pages were not working due to me changing the names of my web pages previously and forgetting to change the href links to point in the right direction to these.
I put this right and replaced the files through the FTP, tested on Explorer, the footer links are then working fine, but then tested on Firefox and Google Chrome and they are still looking for the old page names. (hovering over the footer links shows me the names they are looking for)
Do these browsers store some information of web pages somewhere? I tried deleting my internet history and cookies and it has made no difference, it is like these two browsers are not looking at the actual HTML code for the href link.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me please? It's very strange!
Thanks for your help all,
Best regards,
Foxhole
