According to Matt Cutts' latest blogpost [mattcutts.com], Chrome extensions are 'coming along as well'. The post also features a link to a page which redirects you to a simple tutorial [chromeextensionsdocs.appspot.com] on how to create and load chrome extensions.

The lack of extensions has always been the main reason why I didn't adopt chrome. I for one might reconsider if this truly takes off. So what do you think? Is this going to push many people over to the G-side?

Don't see why. Mozilla/Firefox pulled the rug out from under Opera which blew their big chance and is now dead for all but the 1.5% or so of geek users. IE7 and IE8 are bad attempts at at least looking a bit like Firefox. Chrome is making the penetration in browsers that Cuil is in search. Google is so scatter-gunned now that it is hard to see how they can sell the concepts/projects through to success. It's an all or nothing game for big play projects.

I don't mind Google in multiple major specialties, but for even them the limitations of staff, funds, and drive are showing. They are sliding towards Microsoft mediocrity - unnecessarily, IMO.
