How do I hide content?

I have an HTML CSS website. I have just employed someone to write new content for the site 30-40 pages. A lot of it I just want as content for SEO and not really for people finding and reading as everything they need to know are in the first few pages of the main menu.

I have heard of several ways of getting around this and that the big newspaper sites show all their content of their online newspaper and it even appears in the searches but the surfer cant access it.

I could create a members ony side of the server quite easily if need be.

If it has to be viewable where can I hide 40 pages, or more if I get more written, on my website? Would I create a small link in the home page or list them all in a list somewhere?

If it's useful content, add it to your website with good clear navigation so visitors can easily navigate to your main pages.

If your site is perceived to contain hidden text and links that are deceptive in intent, your site may be removed from the Google index, and will not appear in search results pages. When evaluating your site to see if it includes hidden text or links, look for anything that's not easily viewable by visitors of your site. Are any text or links there solely for search engines rather than visitors?

Thanks for the reply. I am not looking to hide it completely. I just dont want it to have its own menu item in the main menu. Each page is unique and content I need as well. There are only maybe 2 or 3 pages that are sort of duplicated in theme, but not content out of 70 or more pages.

I want about 10 pages in the main menu, the rest are needed but I dont want showing so much.

I dont think this is maybe just SEO related as design as well and that may be causing the confusion.
