On our site we have a certain image, the one currently at the top of the news section.
In Firefox it displays as it should but in internet explorer the edges of the dials develop
some sort of pixelation effect.

I'm assuming this is a bug, does anyone know how to fix it?

What's the format, jpg or png? Also, what version of IE is having troubles?

Can't say I've heard of anything like this, either. However, the JPEG format is a complex little bugger, allowing for all kinds of options like embedded color spaces and so on. So depending on the editing program used, all kinds of issues might creep in that would be rare and difficult to pin down.

I'd say your goal would just be to fix it, or have your graphics person fix it. I'd probably grab a screenshot from one of the other browsers where it renders properly, then import that into your editing program, crop as needed and re-save.
