In looking for ways to improve my site, I stumbled across this arrangement (Fake names)

<meta name="keywords" content="widgets>wood">

And also,

<Meta name="Description" content="widgets>hardwood">

I have not seen this before, and cannot find anything in my books or by Googling.

By the way, I found this by Googling "Widgets" (again, fake name) and the site came up number 1 on Google's list.

Can you tell me anything about this practice?

Thanks,

Bo

If you copied that tag verbatim, I am surprised it would even parse with the ">" in it. Otherwise, I have never seen anything like that before other than in a breadcrumb trail.
