So I notice a lot of hits coming from a range of IPs all around the same time this morning.

I look up the IPs and they all come from Research In Motion, makers of BlackBerry. I looked at the user-agent for those hits and they are all

"BlackBerry8330/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/109"

Do hits from any BlackBerry have the RIM IP?

The reason it peaks my interest is there were so many hits over a small time frame so either a couple people with BB were browsing the site at the same time or some bot with that user agent was checking out pages. This site has cellphone content and I am wondering if they are checking it out or what.

That site has logged 399 Blackberry user agents, by the way. Each carrier may limit their Blackberry accounts to a single IP, but there are many carriers and many IP addresses in use.

Thanks tedster.

Looks like it is just a high volume of BlackBerry users over the same time frame. Probably just an anomaly it just seemed very suspicious due to the nature of the site in question's content.
