Print Preview Problem

Web page won't print preview right in IE7, FF

I'm having a little problem with Print Preview on a certain HTML page. (Win XP)

In IE7, the content of the page is shifted so far to the right that only half of the page shows. What comes off the printer resembles print preview.

In Firefox 1.5, print preview shows two blank pages. But it actually prints perfectly.

In Opera 9.20, Print preview and printed output are perfect.

What could be the problem?

FYI: I'm using transparent table features - would that mess it up?

Related, but diffrent: Is there an HTML snippet or Javascript code that could be used to set the defaults for print preview to "Fit to page"?
