Automatically email file

Hi all, wonder if someone can point me in the right direction to get something done;I'm not asking for anyone to do it for me, more than happy to learn - just not sure where to start.

I would like to be able to take a paypal payment on a simple website. Once the payment is taken, I would like to be able to automatically email a PDF to the customers' paypal address.

The paypal integration I'm fine with - but how do I go about sending the file to that address? I'm guessing this is pretty simple, but I'm pretty crap with coding tbh.

Search payloadz. Integrates well with paypal, little code involved and easy. They do charge small monthly fees.

There are also plenty of digital download scripts that do not have monthly fees but you will need some experience with php for most of those.
