How to see list of all pages of a site?

A loooong time ago, I learned from this very site, a code to place in the address bar after a website url which would then produce a listing of all of the pages of that particular website. I cannot remember what it was. It was something like www.websiteaddress/pages with "pages" being the code I am looking for - pages is not the actual code but just an example to help you understand what I am looking for. Does anyone know this?

Thanks,
P.

site: www.yourdomain.com, but this will only show what's index, not necessarily the actual total.

...in the Google search box, not the web browsers address bar. And to note there is no space after the site: prefix :)

Hhhmmm, not heard of anything quite like that. How loooong ago? Which browser? Marshall's suggestion is probably your best bet I reckon.

PrettyPat,

I just did what I suggested with one of my sites which I know has about 80 pages. Google returned 65. Just an FYI.

Are you possibly looking for a sitemap program?

You can use online tools such as [xml-sitemaps.com...] to trawl the site and collect all the pages (up to a max. of 500 pages).
