New Netscape logo too!
Having used Mozilla 1.0 for a while, I'm used to things like tabbed browsing, so there's little new here. But at least we finally have a version of Netscape we can recommend people upgrade to from version 4!
Now I can also recommend it to the people that visit our site.
Does anyone think that a version 7.0 will save this dying browser? I'm not really interested in seeing it at all.
I think it has a chance if people hear good things about it. I think AOL really shot themselves in the foot when they released 6.0 when it was clearly not ready for prime time. Version 7 is so much better than 6 but people need to hear that it is better.

I've been using NN7.0 for 8 hours now, and I've found:
It's very fast - faster than the most recent Mozilla 1.1 release, maybe even as fast as Opera.
It still has the old "drag the Bookmarks icon down and drop it into the page display area and watch what happens" bug that was fixed in Mozilla 1.1, meaning that Netscape probably used Mozilla 1.0 to build their "branded" version.
But they sure have sped it up a bunch!
Anybody else find any interesting new bugs or features?
Jim
Some nice improvements to the e-mail client as well. I use their e-mail client to avoid Outlook viruses.
I might use 7.0 as my primary browser except it won't handle the Google toolbar (yet?). That's a deal breaker.
Other random features that may be important:
- Makes it much easier for Joe Surfer to delete all cookies
- Bookmark handling is much improved
