Having just set up a new laptop with a 15" screen (and dvd player), I found that I couldn't leave it on the "out-of-the-box" defaults because web pages were incredibly small at 1600x1200. Small nav print was microscopic.

I noticed on a client's laptop yesterday the site I was developing for him looked just slightly off - 1024 X 768 resolution. Gotta check it.
