DynamicDrive.com has a decent selection of customizable menus.

HierMenus supposedly work with the following browsers:
  • Internet Explorer for Windows, Version 4.x
  • Internet Explorer for Windows, Version 5+
  • Internet Explorer for Macintosh, Version 5.x
  • Netscape Navigator, Versions 4.02 --> 4.79
  • Netscape 6.x
  • Other Gecko-powered browsers
  • Konqueror 3.0

Ho yes, DHTML menus...

Be aware that they are a nightmare when it comes to cross-browser compatibility and you should test them thoroughly on a range of browser/platform combinations with different settings (especially screen resolution).

Netscape 4 habitually makes a mess of DHTML drop-down and sliding menus on pages that include form input elements.

Also remember to test your site with JavaScript switched off. It must still be navigable.
