Can some one explain to me why these look like this?

I was hoping some one would explain these metas to me. It seems like stuff is just duplicated over and over. My competitors geting good rankings doing it should i do it or is it "Bad"

You really don't need half of those metas. It is a huge waste of bandwidth. You can get rid of the metas after the title tag because its just duplicate. I have no idea what the DC and VW stuff is.

What is a jobsor?

The "DC stuff" refers to the Dublin Core Initiative [dublincore.org], "an organization dedicated to promoting the widespread adoption of interoperable metadata standards and developing specialized metadata vocabularies for describing resources that enable more intelligent information discovery systems."

The initiative is an attempt to standardise metadata information, which includes metatags, to be used in information retrieval systems including, but not limited to, Internet, Catalogue Systems, Offline Search Systems, and so on.

As I say, it include metatags as we know them which, if used responsibly, could increase the effectiveness of Search Systems a great deal. Alas, they are not used responsibly and so are currently virtually ingored by Search Engines. Perhaps in the future they may prove to be more usefull.

They are however used quite extensively by online search systems belonging to Libraries and/or Educational Institutions who are more into cateloging details than are the Search Engines.

Thats the long answer, you already have the short answer above.

Google will ignore everything I see there. No violation and no help. Plus, the added file size will have a slight negative effect.

<added> The Title tag, which I just spotted in the middle of that pile, is so spammy that it might trigger an alarm or two...whether that's so or not, Google will read a Title tag, which is not a true META.

Obviously spam. Most search engines will just ignore the duplications as though they were not there, and so there is just a loss of bandwidth (slows down the page). Whether any SE's actually penalize pages for this (i.e., do more than just ignore the extra information) is a subject of debate, and probably a trade secret.

For the record, the DC meta tags are part of the "Dublin Core" metadata standard ( [dublincore.org...] ). This is an international standard being developed for academic work like library cataloging, government documents, formal publishing, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if some page editing software is starting to generate them automatically. They have a lot of potential for professional publishing and academic work, but are probably not very important for commercial sites.

Jobsing, jobsor, etc: Looks to me like a half-witted attempt to take advantage of "stemming." Some engines take words with the same root into account when they're deciding what a page is "about."
