The easiest way to learn is to follow the tutorials bundled with flash. Next, make a short movie of your own creation.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld ZeroPoint

here are some starting points.

[virtual-fx.net...]
[flashkit.com...]
[enetserve.com...]

The best thing you can do is make as many movies as you can. Experiment. Like weisinator said some of the best tutorials are bundled with flash. Here we also like to throw around a little flash knowledge also.

Zeropoint, welcome to WMW!

You may also want to check out some of the issues involved with using flash, such as the fact that their is little spider food left on a 100% flash site for search engine spiders to interpret.

For more info check out the site search at the top.

I have a copy of flash 5, which I have had for months now..but I have learned to make validating code a priority :) Then after that I may start using it sparingly.

Learning flash quickly is a funny concept. Although it is not hard to understand the basics, getting a well optimized, appealing (and useful) SWF on the other hand is not easy. I suggest going to about.com and searching on "flash" or "flash tutorials". If all else fails just download the trial and go through the tutorial that is bundled with it (does MX have this?). Its very useful in getting the babysteps started. Goodluck.

EDIT: I see korkus beat me to it (and again with the useful links!)

I'm sure there are also "___ For Dummies" and similar books dealing with Flash, but no clue how good they may be. Good luck.

Here's an excellent resource -- on Flash and usability [flazoom.com].

It's no good having eye candy if visitors can't use it. On two web projects I'm managing, this is a "must read" for the Flash developers.

Hello ZeroPoint,

Welcome to Webmaster World!

How can I learn Flash quickly?
You won't....

The resources and advice listed above all very good...

The most important thing to know about Flash is when to use it and where. Very rarely and only in choice locations is my own personal choice...

Do take your time.. You cannot rush Flash or the results will be revealing.

Best of luck!
