Hello,

I was wondering if anyone out there had a good search engine script i could use or a link to some where that does. PHP, Cgi, anything goes...

I use "HouseSpider" - seems to work ok, plus fits my budget (i.e. free).

Fluid Dynamics Search Engine is also worth a trial. strictly speaking it is not free but you can try it out fully before you buy with no expiry period. Indexes up to 10000 documents...not bad.

I need something that can index millions if not billions, Mabey a meta would work Any one know where a meta one would be?

If youre looking for a search engine capable of indexing on that scale you are realy looking in the direction of a comercial software program such as inktomi. Your idea of using a meta engine could work but you dont have any form of database so little control over the results. If If I where you I where you I would concider a bit of experimentation with the "fluid dynamics" search engine. It is good as an entry level se
