I am having trouble getting my P3P policy read by browsers.

I am using in body link text to do this rather than a header meta and prefere to do this if possible. Has anyone had success with this approach and is there anything wrong with the link code below.

<link rel="P3Pv1"
href="http://www.mysite.com/P3P/p3p.xml">

The xml seems fine as well as all the links in the file to html, etc. But no go on the MS 6. browser!

Thanks for your help!

Must admit, that I am somewhat lost on this...

According to the W3C's P3P Deployment Guide [w3.org] about the linking method, you've got it right.

I can understand being "somewhat lost" on all things P3P. It's not fun - although some of our members have reported no problems at all.

Have you used the P3P Validator [w3.org] at the W3C? That may give you good feedback.

Hello YadiYudi,

If you uploaded your reference file to the w3c directory, you can ignore the NO Link and NO HTTP header errors the validator produces. Rather than put your reference link in the p3p directory, create a w3c directory and try that.

Check your sticky mail.
