Browsing Problem

I can browse anywhere but tripod.com!

For four days I have been able to browse anywhere on the internet except tripod.com or either of my website spaces at Tripod. I can even get to their parent company, lycos.com. But not tripod.lycos.com. This is true with both MIE and Netscape.

It has been suggested that somewhere between my PC and Tripod's server there is a broken phone line and that I should wait for it to be fixed. Sounds logical, though four days seems a long time.

Any other ideas?

Welcome to the Forums, Peter.

I'm sure it's some kind of infrastructure problem somewhere, but I wouldn't just buy that "Oh, it must be the phone company" excuse. I'd say call Tech Support for your website space and let them know.

I used tripod for my server a while back. They were inaccessable periodically and never would admit to it.

I don't doubt that, but I know that Tripod IS accessible right not from other PCs... just not mine.
