Hi all,

Is there a way to send text email (not html email) and NOT have the browsers parse the http:// prefix and render it as a hyperlink ?

OR as an alternate,

Is there a way to change the way it renders it so that we can change where it passes control to ?Point being I would like to send all hyperlinks to the same new browser that has been opened once with the intial click.

Any help would be MOST appreicated ! :)
thanks

Welcome to Webmaster World lambo.

From what I know email clients handle this function differently and there's not much you can do about it. For instance, most the AOL email client will not make a link clickable, no matter what. There are no code standards to force anything here.

I'd be delighted to learn that I'm wrong about this, by the way!

Can we gripe about this? Personally, I'm annoyed at all the HTML in my e-mail. It slows down the e-mail client considerably, and I can't use my wheel mouse to scroll through it.

If I really want to see something, make the copy interesting, and I'll go there.

So there.
